cake-a-licious, pearl and godiva china, oxfam bridal, hayworth vintage EYE CANDY

Yesterday I went to the Alternative Wedding Event at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin to see what would be on offer to couples looking beyond the usual in Ireland. And luckily I brought my camera to take pictures of all of the fantastic eye candy! Since this is my photo blog, I'll concentrate on the photographs and leave the content to my fellow talented bloggers like

Fantastic vintage dresses by Oxfam Bridal and Hayworth Vintage.

The most gorgeous looking and tasting cakes by Cake-a-licious

And the most beautiful, colourful, vintage china that can be hired from Pearl and Godiva

I think you'll have to agree that Ireland has come a long way baby...

Sneak Peek and Wedding High Irish blog featured some photos from Lisa O'Dwyer Photography at the Alternative Wedding Event at the Guinness Storehouse

I went to Ireland's first Alternative Wedding Event at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin yesterday. I got to meet lots of talented Irish wedding suppliers, met up with my Twitter friends, and took loads of photographs. Above, are photos from a sneak peek of a blog post on the event. And have a look at an Irish wedding blog that just featured some of my photographs in a post about the Event. Wedding High

decorating the pews for your church ceremony in ireland...

Since many Irish wedding ceremonies take place in a church, some thought needs to be put into the pew decorations. You can do these yourself with ribbons, or a few sprigs of baby's breath or flowers. Or you can have your florist decorate using flowers that compliment your bouquet. Here are some images of pew decorations from weddings that I've photographed. Hopefully they'll provide a bit of inspiration and thought into what you want your church ceremony to look like.

Photos are from the album manufacturers.

I am so delighted to offer these beautiful velvet albums as part of my wedding packages. I can't wait to order one for a sample! I think they are really unique and different from what other photographers in Ireland are currently offering. I hope you like them too!
