personal work....in film
As some of you might know, I've been really interested in the idea of using more film. I find the editing involved with digital photography to be overwhelming. I just want to focus on the photography. So a couple of months ago, I took the plunge and invested in a Mamiya medium format film camera. I first learned photography on film back in the 90s. I learned on my mom's Canon manual SLR from the 70s and I developed film and printed it in the darkroom. I love the look of film. I love the color, the depth, the characteristics of different film stocks. It feels natural to me. All of my personal work is done on film now and boy is it liberating to throw off the cloak of digital editing! I'm excited to take on fully film portrait commissions and weddings. The look of film is simply breathtaking in my opinion. Hope you love film as much as I do!

bo and talbot's stunning wedding at kilshane house county tipperary ireland
So excited to share Bo and Talbot's wedding at Kilshane House today! Bo's dress, and the bridesmaid dresses were handmade by her sister Adah Lynch. Bo's inspiration was Swan Lake and Adah expertly created her gown while on Easter holidays from her day job as an art teacher! I think Adah is the next couture designer waiting to be found in Ireland. The girls were simply STUNNING and looked naturally beautiful with expert make-up done by Lisa McLoughlin. The wildflower bouquets and church and reception flowers were artistically created by Bloomsday Flowers of Carrigtwohill. I think they are the most stunning flowers I've seen this year! The beautiful wedding cake with pearls to match Bo's dress is by Siobhan Walsh, Ballyneill, Co Tipperary. Church music was beautifully done by Ryan Morgan, Carol Daly, and Anne Healy-May.
Kilshane House is an historic house in a rustic country setting in County Tipperary. There are two lovely dogs in residence there who will oblige you with portraits. I really love this venue and highly recommend it to couples looking for something traditional yet eccentric. Your cocktail hour in the glasshouse is hard to beat in my opinion. Thank you so much to Bo and Talbot and their families for making me so comfortable on the day. I had a great time and am honoured to have been there. Congratulations to you both!
