Stephanie lives in Ireland, and Brian is currently in Australia. Brian was recently home, and so they took the opportunity to have a little engagement photo shoot together. We planned the shoot for Kinsale, a beautiful seaside village in Cork. Eventhough it was sunny for the whole day, it started to rain as I drove into Kinsale. We had to dodge in and out of the rain, but at least was 'soft' rain! Stephanie and Brian were good sports though and perfect models! And I was happy we got a good variety of shots in a variety of locations. Thanks again Stephanie and Brian and all the best for you in the future!

caroline and sam...fun in the sun dublin wedding at the shelbourne hotel
As a photographer in Ireland, I got lucky with a couple gorgeous sunny days in Dublin for weddings this summer. One of those was Caroline and Sam's wedding at the iconic Shelbourne Hotel near St Stephen's Green. Caroline's parent's neighbours in Howth put out a Child of Prague the night before to ward off the rain, and it worked!
Their ceremony was held at the Unitarian Church nearby. After greeting guests in the sunshine outside the church, we headed off into Stephen's Green for some photographs. Caroline had brought some cool sunglasses with Irish and British flags as they are an international couple. Sam even brought his own family's tradition from Cyprus of waving napkins in the air as the couple makes their grand entrance into the reception. And of course they made it their own with the song "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" by The Darkness playing as they entered amidst the chaotic fun of the waving napkins! What a fantastic wedding, and a big thank you goes out to my lovely assistant and second shooter for this wedding Ivana Patarcic. Thanks again to Caroline and Sam, and I wish you all the best in the future!

candice and nick...ireland destination wedding at the westbury dublin
Candice and Nick, a sweet couple from York in England, recently tied the knot on a sunny Fourth of July in Dublin. An intimate group of family and friends attended their destination wedding in Ireland at the Westbury Hotel. The flowers were beautifully designed by Appassionata Flowers, and the wedding color was red for Nick's favourite football team. The guys wore really cool shoes by Vans...with the BBQ-lovin groom topping off his hamburger-themed Vans with tiny hamburger cufflinks! I know Candice and Nick enjoyed excellent BBQs in the States on their honeymoon...I hope they found some iconic diners in California :) A big hug and thank you to Candice and Nick and their family! It was a real pleasure to be there with you on a sunny Fourth of July! And a big thank to you to my lovely assistant/second photographer, Nuria of Momento Photo Studio in Nurney. You can see her blog post from the day here.
