judith & brendon's sweet wedding at tulfarris house hotel and golf county wicklow

Judith is a really sweet Irish teacher who married her prince, Brendon recently at Coill Dubh Church in County Kildare. While I was at the house getting pictures of Judith and her family getting-ready, my colleague the photographer Elisha Clarke was at the church getting some shots of the groom. And Elisha's blog post here.

Fiona of Candlelight Weddings in Straffan County Kildare did the beautiful flowers, church decorations including lanterns, and reception decor. I love the freshness of the pink flowers and blue dresses of the bridesmaids.

The cute little bike with flower pots was directly across the road from the church in Coill Dubh. How handy for a quick shot of the lovely bridesmaids!

The traditional ceremony was followed by a fantastic outdoor drinks reception at Tulfarris House in Blessington County Wicklow. This was the first wedding that I've photographed here and I can't wait to go back! I loved the outdoor area for drinks as it reminds me a bit of a mission in California. If the weather is good, this location can't be beat!

It was great to have Elisha there as she had shot weddings there before and clued me into the fact that we could get a golf cart and go out to some stunning locations near the lake. Here's Elisha at work! She used some film cameras too so go on over to her blog to have a peep at some more of Judy and Brendon's day.

The interior of Tulfarris House is just as lovely as the grounds and I highly recommend it for your reception in Ireland. Judy's dad made the most beautiful cake I've ever seen a daddy make (well, I've never seen a cake made by a daddy, but this was just BEAUTIFUL!!!). And a cute shot of Brendon's daughter's comfy Converse she changed into later in the evening!

Judy and Brendon had a comedian entertain after the dinner, and this guy seriously had everyone in stitches. A fantastic, fun night was had by all and am truly honoured that Judy and Brendon had me along to document their perfect day.

tara and liam's fun wedding featuring horses and big american trucks at the lord bagenal, carlow

I love photographing weddings where people aren't afraid to think outside of the the box, so I was super-excited when Tara unveiled the plans for her wedding which included big American trucks and horses. Tara is from County Kildare, and this is the centre of the horse-racing and horse-breeding industries in Ireland. Tara is a horse-rider herself and was interested in getting some pictures of her horse. Here's a picture of her horse MinisterForFun who had won a race, and if you look close enough you can see Tara and her bridesmaid Sharon.

Tara wore a stunning silk ruffled dress from Nicola Ross, Naas. She said she saw it in the shop window and knew that it would be perfect! Her hair was arranged in a cute little birdcage veil with flowers. Her Irish designer Catriona Hanly jewelery was a gift from her beautiful stylish mother. The fantastic shoes came from Debenham's and the flowers were brought from Holland by Liam (who is a truck-driver), and arranged by Tara's mother.

Here's MinisterForFun, Tara's favourite horse. He's very photogenic!

Liam arrived at the tiny parish church of Moone, Co Kildare in a shiny Peterbilt American truck available for hire from All American Ads. I thought this was fantastic and so much fun! The men were kitted out in suits from Manly's Athy.

The little church in Moone was ready for it's first radio broadcast on the day of the wedding. The priest was really excited!

Tara and Liam's ceremony was held at the Lord Bagenal Hotel in Carlow. This was the first time I had been there and I was really impressed with the art on display at the hotel. We had a couple minutes outside before the rain poured down to get some shots in front of the truck.

And then back inside for some shots inside the hotel. I loved the mosaics in the bathroom and made Tara & Liam get some shots in front of it!

And the fanstastic cake by Fergal Birchall.

Thank you to Tara & Liam and I hope you are having a fantastic time on your honeymoon!

new eco-leather albums by folio uk and pretty packaging for discs

This year, I've completely changed my selection of albums that I offer. While I can order any album that a client desires, I do have a selection of choice albums that I have samples of. One of the newer offerings this year is the fine art eco album made in the UK by Folio. The album is hand-bound, and encased in fine natural leather. The pages are thick and rigid and come in a choice of Art White or Art Cotton (which my plum-coloured album has). The thing I love about this album is that the paper is matte and non-reflective, and the cover is simple, beautiful, and top-quality. It truly is a fine-art style album and perfect for the style of photography I like to do. And look at the swatch of beautiful colours above and the pretty tree-printed box it comes in!

My sample album is 10x10 inches and 30 pages, which can be upgraded to 12x12 inch and more pages if needed. Please email me if you'd like to view these in person and discuss photography further.

And a little peek at the packaging for discs of images for my photography. What do you think?

sinead and enda's pretty summer garden wedding at the burlington hotel dublin

Sinead and Enda met at the famous Irish pub in Dublin, O'Donoghue's some while back, and now they live in South Korea together. They wanted to return to Ireland to celebrate their wedding with all of their friends in family in Dublin. Sinead organised the gorgeous wedding which is full of inspiration and beauty. I was fortunate to have the extremely talented Christina Brosnan along for the day, so look out for her images from the day soon to come on her blog!

Sinead got ready in the Burlington Hotel. Make-up was done by Tina Hobson of MAC, her dress was by Fara Sposa, head-piece by Arianna, and veil from Ciara Bridal Powerscourt.

I have blogged a bit about the uber-pretty flowers from The French Touch previously here. They did the centre-pieces at the reception at the Burlington too.

The ceremony was held within the shimmering interior of Newman University Chruch Dublin, which was where Sinead's mother was baptised.

After the ceremony we went to St Stephen's Green to get some group pictures and some shots of Sinead and her handsome hubby Enda. I have so many photographs from this wedding that I've saved a lot for another blog or magazine to publish so stay tuned!

The reception was held at The Burlington Hotel in Dublin. Pearl from Pearl & Godiva decorated the bar next to the reception room with lace bunting, candlebra, tea cups, and cake-stands filled with petite cupcakes from The Cupcake Store.

Sinead really personalised the reception with lovely details such as wish cards from Vintage by Claire Louise which were placed on a Wishing Tree from Paper Bird Design. Sinead added her own vintage photographs of herself and Enda with framed photos of their parent's weddings. It was really sweet and touching and their guests thoroughly enjoyed all of these touches.

Another fun part of the evening was the photobooth supplied by Pearl & Godiva. It was so much fun and the guest had a great time posing.

I enjoyed this wedding so much and I'm so delighted Sinead & Enda chose me to photograph it. There is inspiration overload in this wedding, so keep an eye out for it somewhere else! Thanks again to Sinead and Enda and their friends and family at the wedding, and to Christina Brosnan who was my fantastic photog partner for the day. Following is a list of vendors:
