I love being a photographer! One of the best things about my job is getting to meet fantastic people from around the world. Brittany and Matt are a newly engaged couple from Colorado. When they mentioned that they'd be vacationing in Ireland soon to some Colorado wedding photographers, they were sent to me as a referral for their engagement shoot in Ireland. What a small world!
Brittany and I planned the shoot by email, and I knew they would love the wild beauty of Wicklow. We went to historic Glendalough first, then to the secluded almost other-worldly beauty of the Wicklow Gap and the Sally Gap. These places have been used for filming of movies such as Braveheart and Excalibur because of the stunning scenery. I enjoyed my time with them so much that I ended up shooting double the rolls of film I would normally shoot! The weather was good too with the perfect light of sunset providing beautiful photo opportunities.
