Katie and Paul...10th Anniversary Photo Shoot in Ireland at Ashley Park House in Nenagh

Katie is a photographer and Paul is a fireman in Kentucky...and they are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary this year. As a photographer, meaningful photographs celebrating life is important to her. So when they knew they would take a special anniversary trip to Ireland, Katie set about finding a photographer to document this moment in their lives as a couple. I feel really happy and lucky that Katie and Paul found me here in Ireland so that I could help them create a collection of evocative film photographs of their stay. I suggested Ashley Park House in Nenagh as the location for the shoot after doing a fantastic photoshoot there this past year. It was featured on blogs such as 100 Layer Cake and One Fab Day. Katie and Paul said that their stay there was one of the highlights of their trip, and that the dinner that night was like something out of Martha Stewart Living magazine!
I love the colour and style of the clothes Katie and Paul choose for their shoot. Katie is a true artist. She made the feather sashes for her lace dress with antique brooches. These little details can make such an impact in your photographs.

Thank you so much to Katie and Paul for having me photograph your 10th Anniversary in ireland. What a wonderful gift to yourselves! And thank you to Ashley Park House for permission to shoot there during Katie and Paul's stay at the B&B.

And to anyone considering an Anniversary, Honeymoon, or Engagement session in Ireland....just do it! Time moves so quickly and it's so important to document your moment in time with the people you love in an artistic style that won't date.

I have extremely limited dates for these types of shoots open in 2013. Please inquire through my webpage here

Jen and Mark's 6 month nostalgic anniversary shoot in county westmeath

Jen and Mark are a fantastic couple, and I feel like over the past year we've become great friends. I photographed their beautiful Christmas wedding at Middleton Park House this past December (you might have seen it on One Fab Day or the June issue of Stellar magazine). They had wanted to do an engagement shoot before the wedding, but we just didn't get the chance to do it. So when I suggested the idea of an 'anniversary' shoot, a 6-month anniversary shoot to be precise, they were really keen to be captured at their lovely home in County Westmeath. I was in photographic heaven again as Jen and Mark are keen DIYers and also antique-lovers. They made the tiled table in the picture below!
Their home was just the right place for the 'nostalgic' shoot we had in mind, and they even have a picture-perfect folk park across the road where we got some very Irish cottagey shots.

This was my first shoot done entirely in film and I love the results! I used a Mamiya 645 AFd for all shots with a combo of Fujifilm Pro 400H, Portra 800, and Ilford XP2. If you'd love to capture your moment in time on beautiful film, please send me a note. And enjoy!
