A Very Stylish Handmade Artistic Winter Wedding at Waterford Castle, Ireland

Am thrilled to share a bit of Adah and Sean's recent wedding in Kilsheelin County Tipperary with celebrations by candlelight at the magnificent Waterford Castle! Adah is the sister of Bo, who appeared on Style Me Pretty last year when she married Talbot in a Swan Lake-inspired dress that Adah created. She is an artist, and teacher, and couture designer, and amazingly beautiful Renaissance woman! I was so happy when she asked me to photograph her wedding this January!

She designed the invitation suite herself and wrote out the envelopes in the most scrumptious calligraphy! Her inspiration was the turn-of-the-century Harry Clarke stained glass windows...The Eve of Saint Agnes...which can be seen in Dublin at The Hugh Lane Gallery.

For her pink satin dress-coat, she attached the mink scarf that her grandmother wore on her own wedding day in the 1950s. I think that Adah might start a rage for pink wedding dresses! In the evening, she changed into a floor-length beaded dress and head-piece that she designed as well. Her sister Bo looked like a modern day Little Bo Peep in her stylish blue dress and cape designed by Adah as well. Adah's sister leah looked stunning in a black crocheted cape that was owned by her very stylish grandmother.

Sean beamed all day at his gorgeous bride and was stylish as well driving his mini! A fantastic evening was had by all, and I hope to have another blog or magazine share the gorgeousness soon.

Thank you so much to Adah and Sean, and best wishes!

Knappogue Castle Ireland Destination Wedding...A Dream Come True For Marissa and Eric

Marissa and Eric are a cute couple from Wisconsin. They recently got married in Ireland at Knappogue Castle in County Clare with a group of their family and friends. They had so many cute ideas...the boys in traditional flat caps, bow ties and tweed vests...the gals carrying Autumn-coloured silk bouquets with little typewriter key initial charms...and the wedding party wearing Toms! Annie Byrne of Aislinn Events in County Kerry planned their perfect day and I must say it was an absolute joy to work with her. The day was planned perfectly which meant that they had loads of time to get the romantic scenic photographs that were important to them. They also had a First Look which is a wonderful opportunity to get beautiful photographs of the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time (there's a split second to get these photos when the first time a groom sees the bride is coming down the aisle).

Kudos to Annie for booking Vaughan's Pub in Kilfenora (of Father Ted fame) for their reception. So much fun and it looked fabulous! Marissa and Eric decided to skip the cake and brought cake mix over from the States to make Cake Shots! More of this wedding to follow on another blog soon (there is just way too much beauty and inspiration for my 'lil blog). Thank you so much to Marissa and Eric for choosing me as your wedding photographer in Ireland!
