Mary and Sean's Fairytale Destination Wedding at Dromoland Castle, Ireland

I had the pleasure recently of photographing Mary and Sean's destination wedding recently in Ireland at the magnificent Dromoland Castle in County Clare. Mary was like a princess in a beautiful ruffled gown and Swavorski crystal crown, and Sean was very handsome indeed in his Celtic kilt. Their little girl was the sweetest little princess in a Disney dress in pastel colours.

candice and nick...ireland destination wedding at the westbury dublin

Candice and Nick, a sweet couple from York in England, recently tied the knot on a sunny Fourth of July in Dublin. An intimate group of family and friends attended their destination wedding in Ireland at the Westbury Hotel. The flowers were beautifully designed by Appassionata Flowers, and the wedding color was red for Nick's favourite football team. The guys wore really cool shoes by Vans...with the BBQ-lovin groom topping off his hamburger-themed Vans with tiny hamburger cufflinks! I know Candice and Nick enjoyed excellent BBQs in the States on their honeymoon...I hope they found some iconic diners in California :) A big hug and thank you to Candice and Nick and their family! It was a real pleasure to be there with you on a sunny Fourth of July! And a big thank to you to my lovely assistant/second photographer, Nuria of Momento Photo Studio in Nurney. candice and nick's colourful engagement session in howth

Howth in North County Dublin is a great place to do an engagement shoot. The boats in the harbor are really colourful and picturesque, and not too far away is a lovely cliffside walk on Howth Head. Candice and Nick, a lovely young couple from York, are getting married in Dublin this summer. They love Ireland and traditional music, and are great fun to be around. We had a fantastic session on a sunny day at the seaside. Can't wait to see them again this summer!

a magical destination wedding for a beautiful florida couple in ireland

For the past year, I've been really looking forward to meeting a young couple from Florida who were coming to Ireland to get married. Lacey had contacted me by email after finding me on the internet, and proceeded to tell me about her destination wedding in Ireland. She could be a destination wedding planner herself, as her wedding at the magical Coolcarrigan in Coill Dubh, County Kildare, was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever seen. And the coolest thing about the wedding was they came to Ireland with the members of their closest family (10 people and a baby) on a bus tour, and used one of their free days to get married! Look out for their engagement shoot at the Guinness Storehouse in the upcoming days. And to Lacey and Chris, congratulations and wishing you all the happiness and health in the future!

***Interesting note: The Irish texts on the walls of the church at Coolcarrigan were chosen by Douglas Hyde who was a family friend and the 1st President of Ireland and the founder of the Gaelic League.
