Declan and David, Elegant Civil Partnership Wedding at Lismore Castle in County Waterford, Ireland

So honoured to have been chosen to photograph Declan and David's civil partnership wedding at the elegant and historic Lismore Castle in rural County Waterford! As an Art History major in college, I had heard of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and their beautiful castle in Lismore filled with historic and contemporary art. The room where Declan and David said their vows was designed by the decorator and designer of the Houses of Parliament, Pugin.

 The day in September when they were married proved to be one of the nicest days in Ireland this year....sunny and warm! Perfect for a wedding celebration with drinks on the lawn in front of the castle. Declan and David looked very handsome in their Ted Baker suits and I loved David's cufflinks from Dalvey. Thank you so much to Declan and David and their families for having me there as the photographer on their beautiful day! And a big thank you to everyone at Lismore Castle for hosting a most elegant ceremony and reception!

 

Rachel and Ben, a fun and vintage wedding at The Millhouse in Slane Ireland

I'm a happy girl! I got to shoot this gorgeous wedding for Rachel and Ben at The Millhouse in Slane. I knew when I first met Rachel last year, that her wedding was perfect for my style of photography. Rachel loves vintage, and as she is a make-up artist in Australia (Rachel Doyle Make-up), she did her own hair and make-up. Doesn't she look like Rita Hayworth? Ben, the dashing groom, pulled some most perfect pints for the boys and even donned a Guinness mustache for a photo. Rachel's sister Kerry looked ravishing with her pink Bettie Page hair and mint twirly dress. A big hug to Ben and Rachel in Australia! Thank you so much for having me there on such a beautiful day! And big thank you to my lovely assistant and second shooter Ivana Patarcic for helping with all of the film changes (she's a fantastic photographer too!). Thank you too to the Millhouse for being perfect...the orchard is perfect for an outdoor wedding in Ireland.

A beautiful sunny day in County Carlow at The Mount Wolseley for Andrea and Stephen's wedding in July! Check out the groovy wedding car...the groom's baby. Andrea looked radiant in her vintage-inspired dress, and her bridesmaids were radiant in jewel tones with colourful bouquets. Congratulations to the two of you and thank you for having me there!

 

ellen and mike's sunny seaside wedding in barna, galway, ireland

Some say the west is the best, and I have to agree. Ellen and Mike are a couple from Galway and Mayo, and their wedding was the first that I've photographed in Galway. And I can't wait to go back! The seaside setting in Barna near the Twelve Hotel, is perfect for photographs! Beautiful pastel shades of withering paint on boats lying in the sand and the various shades of paints on the buildings....perfect! Ellen and her family collected local flowers in shades of purple and ivory, and really made the room for civil ceremonies at The Twelve extra lovely.
