Jen and Mark love Christmas and I absolutely loved being the photographer of their sweet vintage-inspired wedding last weekend at Middleton Park House in County Westmeath. They are the sweetest and most gorgeous couple ever! Jen was like a little doll in her tea-length dress by Stephanie Allin (it was originally full-length but was completely transformed by local seamstress Ingrid Adomavice). Her hair was pulled up in handmade snowflake clips and a bird-cage veil made by talented local milliner Bernice Rafferty of Fashion and Feathers of Moate, Westmeath. She also made Jen's sister's Emer's green hair-clips. This is a very talented DIY family as Jen's sister Emer helped her make the fabulous rose bouquets with brooches. Mark and Jen made the Norman Rockwell invitations themselves, and they also decorated the tables at the reception. They made the cutest Christmas tree ornament favors out of clay and stamps for their guests! I think there are some very talented people in Westmeath! Their cake-topper was from Jenifer's grandparent's wedding back in 1949! Enjoy this lovely Christmas wedding and Happy Holidays to you all!
Bridesmaid's hair-pieces, and Jen's veil, hair-pieces, and necklace was made by Bernice Rafferty of Fashion and Feathers boutique, Moate, County Westmeath
Shoes: Heaton's with brooches sewn on by Jen's mother
I'm working on a beautiful vintage-inspired Christmas wedding from Middleton Park House in West Meath this past weekend. The cutest couple ever! A little sneak peek :)
Very excited that Ursula and Jonathan's Finnstown House wedding was on German blog Hochzeitswahn last week! Ursula is from Austria so it was nice for her family to see the wedding featured in their native language. And it was fun for me because my mother's family were all of German ancestry going back 150 years in America. Thanks again Hochzeitswahn for the gorgeous feature!
For all of you destination wedding fans, there is a new blog dedicated to getting married abroad: Fly Away Bride. Lacey and Chris are an American couple who got married in Ireland and they decided to have an engagement shoot at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin. Their story was featured on Fly Away Bride last week.
The 1st of January 2011 saw the introduction of the registration of civil partnerships of same sex couples in Ireland. We decided to celebrate this as part of a recent artistic collaboration between stylist and vintage decor specialist Pearl & Godiva and many talented Irish business people listed below. Here is a sneak peek of the civil partnership part of the Irish countryside shoot which I blogged last week. More photos to come soon!
