nicola and conor's paddy's day wedding at the brooklodge in wicklow

This Paddy's Day, I spent the day with a lovely family on their wedding day. Nicola and Conor, along with their sweet baby Oscar (check out his cool red baby Converse!), got married at The Church of the Holy Trinity in Avoca and had their reception at the Brooklodge in Macreddin Village County Wicklow. I had the company of the talented Elisha Clarke as a second shooter, who got some great pictures of Conor and his family before the ceremony. Love these of them at the famous Fitzgerald's Pub of Ballykissangel fame!

The Brooklodge is secluded in a little village in the mountains of Wicklow and is very charming with wandering chickens and an old fashioned phonebooth. It being Paddy's Day, shamrock was appropriately used in the men's button holes and on the cake. The fantastic 1920s buses and car were courtesy of AT & T Chauffeurs (loved their outfits including original boots from the 1930s!). As Nicola and Conor are big rugby fans, they incorporated the Paddy's Day match of Ireland vs England into their day. Since it rained in the afternoon, the guests enjoyed the game in the bar at the Brooklodge. A big congratulations to Nicola and Conor, and all the best in the future!

  1. Great photos Lisa. The question is...did that chicken cross the road?!
