Mary and Ricardo's Irish and Spanish Wedding at Castle Durrow, County Laois

Mary is from Ireland and Ricardo is from Spain. They had a beautiful winter wedding this January at the historic Castle Durrow in County Laois Ireland near Mary's home in Rathdowney. The crowd was very international and cultured, and I had great fun observing the mixing of cultures! Mary's family has a number of talented musicians and the music they played at the church ceremony was fantastic!

Ricardo and Mary had a cute idea of the table seatings...they collected vintage records and called the tables after the records. I love this idea...possibly because I'm a big fan of the old-fashioned LP. Listening to a record is like a using a film camera in a way. There is emotion and depth to it. Kindred spirits!

Thank you so much to Mary and Ricardo for having me there to photograph your beautiful wedding at Castle Durrow!

  1. Love this wedding Lisa, the soft green of the bridesmaid dresses and the bright red berries make a gorgeous winter palette! The shot of the older man and the young girl facing off is great fun too : )
