Meet Gill and Jason, a sweet couple who are marrying next year. We went to the Glendalough area of County Wicklow recently for their engagement shoot. And we were totally spoiled for beautiful locations! You might have seen the sneak peek below at Trooperstown Park near Laragh earlier this week.
Such a cute location for a little picnic or walk. And great scenery for some photos! Here are a couple more from Trooperstown.
After a little impromptu dancing, we were off to Glendalough. Glendalough, or "the valley of the two lakes" is a popular spot for tourists visiting Ireland. There are numerous paths for hill-walking, and there is the world-famous monastic ruins from the 6th century. You also might recognise the scenery from the movies Braveheart and Excalibur. They were filmed here and there are scenic drives marked with signs that you can follow to see the movie locations. The Upper Lake is particularly beautiful and this is where Jason serenaded Gill with his guitar.
So cute! I made a little crown for Gill to wear because I had a hippy celtic princess in mind for some photos. Gill was a bit unsure of it, but I thought it was sweet!
I suggested that they bring a change of clothes to add interest to the shoot, and I think it worked out nicely.
Hope you all like this as much as I do! I'm so excited to photograph their wedding next summer!
